TerraVita, which started in October 2010, has grown into a multi-day celebration that brings together top chefs, food artisans, sommeliers, baristas, brewers, educators, distillers, cookbook authors, and industry luminaries from across the Southeast to celebrate culinary excellence and sustainability in food and drink. It has been named one of the “10 Southern Food Festivals You Need to Taste” by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
A Chapel-Hill based festival, TerraVita offers amazing dinners, tasting events, chef demos, and educational experiences with renowned chefs. Their mission is also to produce zero waster. They promote the use of compostable goods and they work to recycle most all of their waste.
This past Fall, we were honored to take part in the event “Seasoned in the South- a tribute to Bill” honoring Bill Smith. Bill is a beloved Chapel Hill activist, humanitarian, and as he prefers to be called, world renowned “Cook”.
The event was a sight to behold! We loved the sight of The Barn of Chapel Hill filled with our elegant farm tables and Eden X-back chairs. There was also a beautiful lounge set up under the stars in the outdoor gazebo . Even better? To witness our farm tables and chairs, used for what they were built for, gatherings of people coming together to enjoy each others company, eat delicious food, and toast in celebration of a great cause or the beginner of a couple’s journey as man and wife!
Events and weddings at The Barn of Chapel Hill are special in so many different ways! Take a look at some of our favorite photos from the event.
